San
Doloroso

Escoria
The Escoria are an ethnic group indigenous to
Central America. Descended from the first humans who
crossed the Bering Straits between twelve and
fourteen thousand years ago, they settled in Central
America, in the area now known as San
Doloroso. In tandem with neighbouring communities,
they quickly developed agriculture and eventually a
civilisation which flourished for several hundred years.
The name 'Escoria' was originally applied by the Spanish
conquistadors as a term of abuse, but as it proved a
much simpler term than the native 'shibburlatot' it soon
entered popular parlance.
